Bio-Mechanical Enlightenment

It was night and I was walking alone through the dark streets and back alleys of Athens, searching for enlightenment and baklava. Much time had passed and many steps had been taken when I heard a great, prolonged hiss, rattle and what sounded like a garbage can falling over. Thinking it was just a stray cat out prowling for food, I picked up the pace, racing to the source in hopes of catching myself a cheap meal. I was halted mid-stride as I turned a corner. Before me, levitating and flashing light like an old film reel was Hermes, messenger of the gods. Telepathically he spoke to me, his words reverberating in my skull like a freshly walloped gong. “Behold, for I have been sent here to tell you of the great artist, The Krah. He can be found creating his work just down the street. Go to him." Before I could ask Hermes for directions, a path of light manifested before me and I then knew the way. It wasn't long before the trail ended and the light disappeared. Discouraged, for a moment I thought that my hunger had me hallucinating. That was until I saw what I was sent to see. Right in front of me, there the whole time, was a mural. Shapes and colors I had only seen in dreams were now in my field of view. Exhilarated, breathing deeply with my eyes wide open, staring into the work of The Krah plastered on an old brick facade, my vision began to blur. Things started losing their recognizable features. Everything melted into one vibrant shade of indigo. I don't remember what happened next, but when I awoke from my trance it was already mid-afternoon. Confused, I stood and immediately saw the storefront sign of a little bakery. “Fresh baklava, all you can eat.” As I filled my belly with the sweet honey glazed pastry, I looked up to the heavens and thanked Hermes for helping me to achieve both of my goals.

Check out more of his work.

Take home some Godliness
