Poetry for Robots

I have heard recently of a disease known colloquially as roboticism. Someone suffering fom such a plight believes themselves to be more machine than man. They start talking in Objective C, and treat their food as inputs. Every question becomes a boolian, and every human function in desperate need of iteration.

Ishac Bertran has embraced his roboticism, and compiled a book of poems written entirely in code.  Different programing languages with proper syntax form this bizarre compilation. It may not read traditionally, but in a way, the meaning behind the words can be neverending. How wonderful for a script to not only bring us to tears, but also to communicate with the machine it was written on.

Could it be that this is the future that awaits us?  Poems with purposes, words with specific definitions as they relate to the functions at hand? Either way, I do not understand most of these works, and that alone should solidify it as poetry.
