Superheroes

Anthony Mansoor.

At a point in my life, I would wake up in the middle of the night and find myself whispering his name as he slowly became my rosebud

Why did I find myself infatuated with this young photographer from Northeast Ohio? This question would haunt me for hours on end. I would order a sandwich at the delicatessen and Mr. Mansoor would be with me in the back of my mind. When I took an excursion along the Yukon trail, he never left my side.

After several agonizing months of living with the stalker of my subconscious, it hit me. The realization was as sudden as the day he entered the back of my mind. His work takes me to a point in my life that I had forgotten about. Mr. Mansoor's photos were like individual time capsules of the days when I was young. Even though I was not present at each snapshot of his camera, I am brought to a time when I spent my money on a new pog slammer as opposed to a $70 bottle of Ardbeg.
